LA MER's Blue Heart Ocean’s Fund Social Video Series featuring Native Conservancy

I shot and directed this short video series for La Mer’s Blue Ocean’s campaign documenting Native Conservancy's ocean farming initiative, where kelp cultivation helps restore ocean ecosystems, capture carbon, support local blue economy jobs, strengthen food sovereignty, and revive traditional livelihoods.

Kelp for Future Generations

Meet Dune Lankard, an Eyak Athabaskan Native, conservationist and regenerative ocean farmer from the Copper River Delta.⁣

“The ocean took really good care of me and my family for over 60 years. It was my turn, it was my time to give back to the ocean.”⁣

Kelp Keeping Traditions Alive

Meet Rain Abel, an Eyak Athabaskan elder whose connection to the ocean goes back for generations.⁣

“Kelp can just save our ocean. That’s just the way it is. It’s a magnificent thing. I think it was created actually for that reason, not just to feed people. I really think it’s there to protect our ocean.”⁣
